Exploring Falls Island and the Grasse River Heritage Summer Solstice Community Concert

Join Artist Sara Lynch and biologist Dr. Tom Langen for a joint kick-off event of Sara’s summer program, Exploring Falls Island and the Grasse River Heritage Summer Solstice Community Concert at 2 pm on Sunday, June 15th at Canton’s historic Heritage Park.

Participants will gather at the parking lot of Heritage Park and then cross the bridge to walk the trail of Falls Island. Tom will share his knowledge of the island and its ecology while Sara will share amusing personal anecdotes from their years spent foraging and help participants choose specimens they can safely collect for artistic inspiration.

After the group circles back to the parking lot, everyone is invited to head across the street to enjoy music by Barb Heller and ice cream from Stewarts as they draw and make art inspired by what they encountered on their walk.

All ages are welcome, but children 10 and under need an adult with them.
