Annual Jewish Food Festival in Potsdam
Congregation Beth El in Potsdam will be hosting its 43rd Annual Jewish Food Festival on Sunday, November 16th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the synagogue located at 81 Market Street in Potsdam!
This festival is open to all faiths or people looking to try something new. It will feature specialty Jewish foods, live Jewish folk music, raffles, and a Chanukah holiday gift sale.
On the main floor you will find live music, a bake sale offering both home-baked goods and baked goods from Montreal, and the gift shop selling items such as candles, dreidels, menorahs, jewelry, and decorations for Chanukah. There will be gifts for aduls and children so you can get your holiday shopping done early!
Downstairs you will be welcomed into the traditional Kosher-style restaurant serving familiar foods like Matzah Ball Soup, Bagels, Hummus, Potato Latkes, and Falafel as well as less familiar but equally delicious foods like Noodle Kugel, Cheese Blintzes, Potato Knishes, and Gefilte Fish! For those with a sweet tooth, there will be plenty of Jewish Desserts as well!
Cash and cards are accepted for all items. All leftover food is donated to local organizations, and the proceeds from this annual event go directly to the synagogue’s religious and cultural programs, ensuring all people in the North Country have access to a rich Jewish community.
